The facility is run by UK heat pump giant Daikin and independent plumbers’ merchant James Hargreaves.
Daikin’s fourth Sustainable Home Centre in the country to date, it offers all visitors chance to view a range of cutting-edge energy solutions and technologies up close. The showroom is complemented by a training facility and stockist aimed at installers who are transitioning their business to renewables.
Launched mid-July, the facility welcomed a range of attendees for the grand opening, including architects, house builders, and installers. According to the firms behind the project, this represents a significant doubling down on their joint commitment to drive a more sustainable heating, ventilation and air conditioning sector in Britain, encouraging more people to consider replacing gas boilers with environmentally-friendly solutions.
‘’It’s truly fantastic to see our fourth Sustainable Home Centre opening its doors within a James Hargreaves Plumbing Supplies branch, this time in Bradford,’ said Gary Beaumont, Sales Director at James Hargreaves. ‘We’re all about building strong relationships and being a trusted partner, and this new Centre really helps us do that, connecting installers and homeowners with top-notch renewable energy solutions.’

‘Our studies reveal that a staggering 68% of homeowners are unaware of the significantly higher energy efficiency of heat pumps over gas boilers,’ added Iain Bevan, Commercial Manager of Heating & Renewables at Daikin UK. ‘While gas boilers operate at 70-90% efficiency, heat pumps soar between 300-400%. There is an essential need to educate homeowners about heat pump technology, and our Sustainable Home Centres within the James Hargreaves Plumbing Supplies branches offer the ideal platform for such endeavours.’
